The Center

Known as “The Center,” New York City’s LGBT Community Center is a bold organization empowering people to be their truest selves as they pursue healthier, happier, more successful lives. The Center’s previous site was well-designed, but they wanted to migrate from Blackbaud to WordPress for easier content management within their small but mighty internal team. We took the platform to the next level, creating something that powered a unique experience for every visitor.

Within the LGBT Community and beyond, The Center serves many different audiences—with unique and shared needs. What we built is flourishing because it organizes these individual and overlapping needs across audience groups, presenting the right resources at the right time, without the need for constant editing. Even though the site looks colorful, clean and simple, it’s based on an abundance of information, making it a prime example of transcreating organization-wide content into a customizable, user-friendly interface that works beautifully across devices.
