Putting together the elements of a successful new lifestyle brand


Piecework, a new Los Angeles-based lifestyle brand, burst on the scene in the summer of 2019 with their first collection: “a curated line of jigsaw puzzles designed to make your heart sing”. Piecework’s founders looked to Lat Long to support their market launch with strategic guidance on retail and wholesale operations. Our role in the project included setting up the operational parameters of Piecework’s Shopify store, identifying dependencies and best practices with the use of an outside 3PL partner, and creating considerable policy and operational briefs to align the business owners with fulfillment requirements and customer experience expectations.


At the same time, our team prepared recommendations for the growth and alignment of a burgeoning wholesale business, giving guidance on collateral creation, distribution and customer touchpoints for Piecework’s crucial first holiday season.


With a site designed by Winsome Brave and the branding support of the founders’ creative agency, Major, Piecework comes to market poised to take on the returning world of offline pastimes, with a decidedly modern approach to retailing.
